Victim Support Malta offers emotional support, legal advice, court accompaniment, psychiatry and many more services to anyone who is affected by crime or suicide. To continue offering such services, Victim Support Malta requires constant funding in order to continue to support these services.

How you can help

Volunteer

If you would like to help us care for traumatised victims, we can always use a helping hand. Depending on your experience and/or availability we are always interested in collaborating with community members who want to dedicate themselves to helping others thrive. Volunteering can range from helping us with court accompaniment, administrative tasks, booking appointments etc. etc. We also welcome all professionals wanting to lend a helping hand in line with their field of expertise. Please do not hesitate to contact us, your help is invaluable to us.

Spice

In 2018, we developed our SPICE service as an ancillary to VSM’s other services. SPICE is a service that enables us to provide psycho educational information in schools and professional environments, training, emotional support to employees and team building workshops that supports the NGO to fundraise through a committed and professional service outside of the victim of crime remit. Entities in the private sector who engage with this service indirectly benefit the growing community of vulnerable victims who need the support of free VSM services. Therefore, engaging with SPICE is a double win, direct professional support to team members at a reduced cost, whilst also indirectly contributing to a larger vulnerable community.

Event Souvenirs

For those of you organizing an event including weddings, corporate events, birthdays, engagements, Baptisms, Communions and all other memorable events, Victim Support Malta is always grateful if a suggestion for donations instead of gifts is made in our name. Employee Support Programmes for Workplaces (ESP)

In this fast-paced world, especially post-covid, people are struggling to manage the return to work-life balance. Anxiety and depression are on the rise and this often impacts the ability of employees to focus and be productive. This initiative supports your employees through individual professional Counselling or Psychotherapy. All employees can access any number of sessions from the total package throughout the agreed given period. All sessions are kept in the strictest of confidence and therapists are experienced, warranted professionals. Team members who apply for ESP sessions, will be given an intake appointment and matched with a therapist. Our ESP varies according to the size of the organisation. Consultancy for Senior Managers & HR Professionals on Mental Health related-issues.

A consultancy package of 12 individual meetings with a life-span of 12 months from the start of the package with a Warranted Psychotherapist also well versed in the field of business and HR with 20 years’ experience in the field. These meetings aim to discuss the management of sensitive situations which employees may be experiencing. These meetings ensure that management is supported to make informed decisions in line with law related to mental health issues. Support to management that ensures both the needs of the organisation and the employee(s) are considered.
