Gender-Based Violence and How To End And Prevent: 16 Days of Activism

10 Dec Gender-Based Violence and How To End And Prevent: 16 Days of Activism

Prevention is something that should start early in life.
This can be done by education and working with young boys and girls, promoting respectful relationships and gender equality. By doing this, boys and girls will grow up learning that they are both equal and that one does not stand above the other, hopefully resulting in less gender-based violence as they would both be respected on the same level.

Raising awareness for gender-based violence is something that also should happen.
This in the hope that it may open some people’s eyes and show them the shocking things that happen with gender-based violence, so that they may take action quicker.

Also hearing stories from victims of gender-based violence may help, so that people can see that it is something real that really happens and they will be aware that it needs to end before it get’s more and worse.
