Did you know…Seven years ago, on the 4th January 2010, President Obama signed a Proclamation declaring January the National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. For the then President « fighting modern slavery and human trafficking is a shared responsibility ». He asked all Americans « to educate themselves about all forms of modern slavery and of the signs and consequences of human trafficking. »
On the 28th december 2016, Obama called « upon businesses, national and community organizations, families, and all Americans to recognize the vital role we must play in ending all forms of slavery and to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities ».
